The most important step before using your stretchy wrap is to WASH it!
Although our fabric is pre-washed, the manufacturing process is not complete until the fiber has swollen to fill all the space in the fabric. Not washing your fabric before its first use leaves empty spaces between the stitches, which weakens the fabric and also increases the risk of the fibers shifting and premature wear.
SOAP
- Our natural and ecological Gustine soap made from Marseille soap is ideal for washing baby carriers.
- It is a mild soap, without optical brightener (bleaching agent), without softener.
- Baby soaps are not recommended.
- No powdered soap (powder residue can damage the fabric fiber).
- Rinse the soap well if it is not a no-rinse soap.
WASHING
- We recommend washing in cold water by hand. However, our wraps can be washed in the washing machine on a delicate cycle.
DRYING
- We recommend hanging to dry, taking care to wring out well. Avoid putting the Maman Kangourou stretchy wraps in the dryer, it can damage the elastic fiber.
